MAYDAY: Firefighters calling for help when they are in trouble is no longer an option, and knowing the psychology behind why we often hesitate to call, appropriate times to call, exactly how to call, and what to do after we call are all covered in the classroom portion of this training. The highlight of the class, however, is actually calling MAYDAY while going through our SCBA maze, blacked out, and facing simulations of all the situations discussed in the class which should prompt you to call MAYDAY. (Approved for 6 hours continuing education credit by Georgia Firefighter Standards & Training Council) LIVE FIRE TRAINING: Presenting a live fire exercise can be a complicated and challenging venture. Many departments have access to live burn facilities, but issues such as adhering to NFPA standards, providing adequate instructors to observe acceptable instructor to student ratios, and providing strong command and control in order to ensure participant safety can discourage some departments from undertaking this valuable training. Our 8 hour live burn class begins with a morning review of fire behavior and fire attack methods, followed by a setee. After lunch the class is divided into individual "companies" each of which participate in a coordinated fire attack and ventilation exercies. If you've got the facilities, we can provide you with a great class. TACTICS AND STRATEGY: This class begins with a discussion of precautions and tactical considerations when confronted with several unique incidents; vehicle fires, hazardous material incidents, natural gas and LPG incidents. The second portion of this class highlights size-up factors which need to be considered when arriving on scene. In the final portion of the class the students apply what they have learned in scenarios using computer animated incidents. (Approved for 6 hours continuing education credit by Georgia Firefighter Standards & Training Council) RELIEF DRIVER/APPARATUS SAFETY: Apparatus involved accidents are the number 2 killer of Firefighters. NUMBER 2! This simply should not be. We've made Relief Driver/Apparatus Operator as comprehensive as a class can be. Topics discussed include; driving laws, NIOSH reviews, rider safety, visual lead time and total stopping distance, warning devices and clearing traffic, and apparatus positioning for safety and tactical advantage. (Approved for 4 hours continuing education credit by Georgia Firefighter Standards & Training Council) TACTICS AND STRATEGY FOR ATTIC FIRES IN RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURES: Attic fires are common incidents which present Firefighters with some uncommon circumstances and challenges. This class examines tactical consideration for attic fire in the small, moderate, and well involved stages and will give you a few new ideas for attacking your next attic fire. (Approved for 4 hours continuing education credit by Georgia Firefighter Standards & Training Council) ASSESSMENT CENTER PREPARATION: So you want to get promoted? Well we can't teach you the test but we can tell you how to be prepared for the test. We've stood on both sides of the assessment board. We've been the candidate and we've been the assessor, we've even helped write the tests. Let us help you prepare for the next step.

MEDICAL: ALS SUPPORT: In this day and age we all have access to advanced life support. Whether your department provides it or not your personnel are going to come in contact with Paramedics and ALS crews in some capacity. This class will enable them to understand better the adavnced skills employed by the ALS team and assist them, thereby providing better patient care for your citizens. Some of the topics covered in this class include; advanced airway procedures, establishing 4 and 12 lead EKG's, and setting up I.V. fluids. CPR/AED: Cardio pulmonary resusitation is the very foundation upon which any "save" in the field is established. Once again, our instructors have extensive experience not only instructing CPR but performing CPR in the field. Whether your personnel need initial CPR training or recertification we can provide it for you.
ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT: Infernal Dalmatian offers certification and recertification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support for those departments providing advanced life support to their community. Let Infernal Dalmatian bring this course to your agency and provide this valuable training for your personnel.

FIRST RESPONDER: Infernal Dalmatian will also certify your department's personnel as First Responders. This is a 40 hour course which follows the curriculum established by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Not only are our instructors certified to teach the class but they are experienced Paramedics or Emergency Medical Technicians who have extensive experience responding on EMS calls.

FITNESS:
PUBLIC SAFETY FITNESS: Public safety is physically demanding, stressful work. In the fire service roughly half of all line of duty deaths can be attributed to heart attack or stroke. How unfortunate that something so preventable causes so much tragedy among our ranks. Our staff are well trained and extremely experienced when it comes to fitness in public safety. Our Firefighter Fitness class will leave your personnel with the tools needed to begin reversing their chances of falling prey to heart attack or stroke.

* If you don't see a class which fits the needs of your agency let us know. We have access to classes on a vast variety of subjects. If we don't have one already prepared we'd be happy to write one.
